Zscaler Engineer
The Opportunity:

As a Zscaler Engineer, you can identify the tools needed to assess vulnerabilities and recommend the best solution and security strategy. We need your experience to lead the development and implementation of security solutions that will protect our nation's national security.
On our team, you’ll troubleshoot and analyze complex challenges for customers using your knowledge of network and security devices. You’ll use your curiosity for technology and market trends to further research and develop security solutions. Using your knowledge and experience in Zscaler, you’ll assess security threats and implement infrastructure controls.
In this role, you’ll closely impact our nation's National Security Infrastructure. With mentoring, challenging hands-on problem-solving, and opportunities to learn new tools and skills, we focus on growing as a team to make the best solutions for our customers.

What You’ll Work On:
- Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management.
- Implement infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities, and improved event correlation in large enterprises.
- Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas, and leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

You Have:
- 5+ years of experience with network engineering or network security engineering
- 1+ years of experience deploying Zscaler, including ZIA, ZPA, and ZDX
- Experience with integration of security tools to provide data enrichment or expand capabilities
- Knowledge of cryptography protocols and standards, including TLS, mTLS, hashing algorithms, and Public Key Infrastructure
- Knowledge of federal compliance standards, including NIST 800-53, FIPS, DoD STIG, and FedRAMP
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
- Bachelor's degree
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with Office 365 applications and Teams collaboration, and in interacting with tools through RDP, web-based UI, SSH, and CLI
- Knowledge of authentication and identity concepts
- Knowledge of Linux or UNIX environments, including navigating and troubleshooting basic OS issues
- Knowledge of networking protocols, including BGP, OSPF, SD-WAN, and L2 protocols
- Knowledge of core Zero Trust concepts and methodologies
- Ability to comprehend how various systems interact with each other
- CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or JNCP Certification
- Zscaler Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
