Principle Duties and Responsibilities
The HVAC Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, and performing repairs on assigned HVAC and Refrigeration equipment and controls, chilled water systems, boilers, and various other mechanical, electrical and building systems in such manner as to eliminate system downtime and ensure optimal client relations. Essential Functions - Troubleshoot, calibrate and adjust pilots, thermostats and burners, transformers, controls, relays, heaters, elements, switches and controls on electrical systems
- Installs, maintains and repairs ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment
- Identifies maintenance risks on equipment
- Diagnoses electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems
- Cleans, adjusts and repairs systems, and performs warranty services
- Performs emergency repairs promptly and efficiently
- Ensures compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Completes other duties as assigned
- Willingness to Work at Various Heights: The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in elevated environments. This includes tasks that may require being at different heights for extended periods.
- Ladder Climbing: Regular climbing of ladders is a critical part of this position. The candidate must be capable of safely ascending and descending ladders of various sizes and types.
- Utilizing Various Lifts: Proficiency in operating a range of lifts is essential. This involves maneuvering scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other mechanical devices to reach higher areas.
Minimum Education and/or Experience Requirements
- 3-5 years of HVAC maintenance experience in a commercial or industrial setting
- EPA 608 license
- High school diploma, GED or suitable equivalent
- Knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Skill in using hand and power tools.
- Must be authorized to work in the US
Pay: $25 – $30/hr.
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
