As an Environmental Specialist, you will need functional and technical expertise and skills in areas of air, water and/or waste. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing environmental risk, regular environmental planning, scheduling and cost estimating. You will handle resources, develop strategy for projects and report achievements!

Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Assesses and mitigates environmental risks related to air permitting
- Leads the implementation of approved actions and creates necessary regulatory documentation
- Coordinates environmental planning, scheduling, and cost estimation for operational and project support, including environmental impact assessments
- Provides technical expertise and guidance to internal and external stakeholders, including through industry associations and communities of practice
- Regularly solicits and incorporates feedback to ensure high-quality environmental support.
- Provides guidance and mentors others
- Prepares and submits sophisticated applications to procure environmental permits, renewals, approvals, variances, and other authorizations and coordinate with company partners
- Performs environmental compliance audits and due diligence investigations, as the need arises
- Identifies environmental training needs and provides training
- Develops, recommends and implements improvements for systems and practices in air, permitting activities for assigned areas
- Prepares and submits all required compliance reports/certifications; develops and maintains documentation related to environmental compliance programs
- Cultivates relationships between Williams and regulatory agencies
- Interprets applicable federal, state and local environmental regulations and ensures compliance with such regulations

Education/Years of Experience:
Environmental Specialist IV:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree and minimum eight (8) years’ environmental experience
Environmental Specialist V:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree and minimum fifteen (15) years of multifaceted environmental experience
- Preferred: Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in environmental soil and groundwater assessment and remediation at CERCLA (Superfund) and RCRA sites
Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of Clean Air Act regulations as applied to Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania
- Preferred: Experience with facility operations and working with local Operations EHS specialists
- Ability to interpret regulations (existing and proposed) and provide guidance to project teams on compliance,
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
