Leidos’ High Fidelity Simulation program is responsible for architecting and implementing large-scale System of Systems solutions in support of world class simulation, training, and analysis products for the US Navy. You will get to work with state-of-the art technology developing the most sophisticated and “game changing” trainers the US Navy deploys. You will be part of a high powered team, performing vital work that has a major impact within the US Navy. You will be constantly learning new skills throughout your co-op employment and your work will be included in trainer deliveries and used by US Navy Fleet personnel. Leidos is seeking energetic, motivated, self-starters for these technically sophisticated and challenging Linux computer engineering positions, assisting in the development of a variety of naval training and simulation systems such as CIAT - Combined Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) and Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) Trainer - YouTube
Linux Computer Systems Engineering Co-ops may assemble and cable computer based systems, configure servers, perform integration testing and validation, and work on system foundation components (such as building Linux system images and developing power management scripts). All work is directly applicable to actual military training systems. Co-op students will gain invaluable, real-world experience on state of the art computer based systems. This co-op will start January 2025.
Basic Qualifications:
• MUST be Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical degree, have at least a 3.2 GPA, and be able to demonstrate Linux and computer engineering skills.
• MUST be available to work at least 7 months full time as a co-op.
• U.S. Citizenship required and must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government granted security clearance. Employment is contingent on receiving an interim Secret security clearance.
• Candidates will be working in a professional environment and contributing to systems that will be used throughout the U.S. Navy. Therefore, candidates must be dedicated to producing quality work results, and must be extremely attentive to detail.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $44,850.00 - $81,075.00
