Your Main Objective:
- Actively manage enterprise computer systems and networks, analyzing technical issues, and developing and implementing corrective actions.
- Observe and interpret visual outputs indicating the operating status of systems and network components for designated computer network infrastructure.
- · Translate user requests into technical diagnoses, then apply diagnoses to develop technical solutions to meet user needs.
- · Develop strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture/technology with minimal impact.
- · Evaluate new technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions.
What Sets You Apart:
Bachelor's degree plus 8-years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree plus 6-years of relevant experience or an Associate’s degree plus 10-years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 12-years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Degree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related field. · Relevant experience must be in computer or information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance and/or systems engineering. Additionally, must have experience in network or system administration.
- Strong Linux experience
- Experience in systems/network administration, application administration, and/or information technology support or management. ·
- Experience supporting hardware installation, such as servers and network infrastructure. ·
- Experience setting up storage such as network‐attached storage. ·
- Experience implementing security best practices to include PKI certificate generation, deployment and maintenance. ·
- Knowledge of Unix shell scripting languages like Bash, Bourne, or C ·
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph (must possess active clearance to be considered for this role).
You Might Also Have:
- Experience deploying and maintaining nginx ·
- Familiarity with Docker and RedHat Satellite · Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT and Ansible as well as system monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience with SELinix and FIPS
