Description
Leidos Defense Systems, is seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. With offices across the United States engaging in the defense, space, cyber and commercial fields, the Defense Sector provides responsive, cost-effective engineering, scientific and IT solutions.
The position will lead the execution of mechanical design and engineering tasks supporting the Department of Defense, intelligence, and missile applications. Candidate will be responsible for applying sound mechanical engineering & design principles in the development of machined, structural, sheet metal, & composite component parts. Candidate will be responsible for bill of material development and component specification for mechanical assemblies. Candidate must be able to apply engineering design processes, such as design for manufacture, drawing production, configuration management, and integration and development of complex mechanical systems.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
Must have 4+ years of relevant experience or 2+ years with MS degree.
Demonstrated experience in the following areas:
Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $81,250.00 - $146,875.00
