We are seeking an Experienced Civil - Site Drafter / Designer to work out of our Framingham, Chicago, or Orlando office.

As an experienced designer in site civil work, you will coordinate directly with our civil engineers supporting our substation/transmission site development group creating site plans, grading and drainage plans, site development details. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to take direction from engineers to start projects using survey, substation overlays, aerial photography, and general site topography to create comprehensive drawing packages. A substantial attention to detail will be required, and the candidate must be proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D (no exceptions). Effective communication promoted by a philosophy of continuous improvement and teamwork is required.
Primary tasks:
- Prepare site design drawings, models of site plans, grading and drainage drawings, and site details with a high degree of precision
- Develop and manage AutoCAD Civil 3D templates and standards for client specific projects
- Ensure engineering design details are properly represented for the development of “greenfield” (new) substations, as well as site expansion projects for existing substations
- Exercise good judgment in selecting and interpreting data based on survey results
- While the candidate for this position will be primarily focused on producing civil site plans and documents, this position could potentially lead to an additional supervisory role
Basic Required Qualifications:
- Level 1 - Associates degree in Engineering Tech - CAD related scientific/technical discipline preferred, High School diploma required. A CAD certificate and additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- Level 2 - BS Degree in a technical discipline. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- 2 + years of relevant experience in site development.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and MicroStation drawing creation
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Bentley In-Roads
- Experience with AutoTURN
- Experience in the utility market
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Good communication skills

Pay Range:
Pay Range $44,850.00 - $81,075.00
