Position Summary:
Catalent Pharma Solutions in Somerset, NJ is hiring a Senior Associate Scientist in the Analytical group. This person will be performing routine analysis of Finish products testing using laboratory techniques and instrumentation such as HPLC, Dissolution, Karl Fisher, pH meter. The Senior Associate Scientist will test In Process and FP samples and test stability samples at different ICH conditions. This position contributes significantly to the successful timely development of new pharmaceutical products utilizing drug delivery systems and technologies by carrying out required analytical support activities.
This is a full-time position: 8:00AM - 5:00PM Monday – Friday.

The Role
Conduct experiments ranging from R&D to clinical and commercial release
Perform Finish product Testing (Stability, development), QC release, and data review
Perform Assays and Related Substances, Content Uniformity, Karl Fisher, Dissolution, Hardness, Disintegration, etc.
Perform testing utilizing HPLC, GC, UPLC, Dissolution, UV, and KF techniques
Perform test and report data as per the Catalent approved procedures
Conduct Laboratory investigation using the TrackWise system following SOPs and Procedures
Perform Opex activities, data trending, and SOPs revisions as assigned
Follow regulatory guidelines, SOPs, cGMPs and Laboratory procedures
All other duties as assigned.
The Candidate
Bachelors degree is required, Masters degree is preferred
3 or more years of experience is required with a Bachelors degree or entry level with a Masters degree in Science
Mathematical thinking and reasoning ability is required
Background in pharmaceutical separation science (HPLC, GC) is strongly preferred
Good understanding and application of scientific principles and techniques is preferred
Experience with GMP and ICH regulations is preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel highly preferred
Requires excellent written and verbal communication
Candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment
