RSM has an immediate opening for a Project Manager with deep interest and experience in facilitating and implementing successful projects. This position is a client-facing role, which is responsible for reviewing the clients' business needs, and recommending and implementing software, management consulting and other solutions for RSM's clients. The project management oversight will enforce project timeline and budget adherence, resulting in increased client satisfaction, improved delivery and implementation practices and project profitability. The successful candidate must demonstrate willingness to go the extra mile for the team's success. He or she will be a problem solver, creative thinker, and fast learner, be detail-oriented and interested in learning RSM’s consulting business.
Responsibilities Include
- Lead national based project management team.
- Coach team members through the project management process and issues if needed.
- Conduct quarterly and year end reviews with employees and work with them on career goals.
- Sell dPMO project management services to internal RSM clients and allocate resources.
- Complete fiscal and year end planning and conduct monthly reporting.
- Serve as an escalation point to team members, facilitating prompt and appropriate responses to project issues and risks.
- Utilize proven tools and techniques, execute project deliverables in a manner congruent with our client's business objectives.
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
- Work with client service lead to understand project scope, milestones, and budget.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Identify and track project issues, providing regular status updates until resolved.
- Effectively and regularly communicate project expectations to internal consultants and clients in a timely and clear fashion.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential out of scope activities, and devise contingency plans.
- Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, technology or related business field of study
- 5+ years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
- Strong conceptual, analytic and problem solving skills.
- Strong project and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Must be a team player and be able to effectively interact with staff at all levels of the firm.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Leadership experience through team management or project management
- Prior leadership position in a technology consulting firm or software reseller
- PMP, CAPM or other Project Management based certificate
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel
- Prior consulting experience is preferred

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $78,600 - $148,500
Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
