The Data Analyst III is responsible for interacting and impacting all parts of the business by identifying, designing and developing data analytics. This role will perform a meaningful role in establishing an efficient, automated, repeatable process to extract and analyze large sets of data by developing tools, techniques, metrics and dashboards for insights and data visualization. The ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with business partners as you learn to challenge conventional thinking and traditional ways of operating are keys to success!

Day in the Life:
In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing and validating the latest safety data from our incident management system. Working closely with the entire safety team, you will conduct in-depth analyses to identify trends and patterns that inform proactive safety measures. Regular interactions with cross-functional teams will be essential as you share insights and recommendations to enhance our data-driven safety programs. You will compile your findings into comprehensive reports, transforming raw data into strategic insights that drive continuous improvement in our safety practices. This role is crucial in ensuring our safety initiatives are both timely and proactive, leveraging data to predict and prevent future incidents.
Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Participates in diagnosing data to generate potential solutions while learning to proactively anticipate and prevent problems; makes recommendations for sophisticated issues that cross organizational boundaries and are unclear in nature
- Applies multiple approaches to data quality assurance and testing, documents outcomes and reviews with business partners
- Collaborates with business partners to research and identify their underlying data needs
- Participates in initiatives and programs to meet and exceed customer’s expectations
- Researches organizational and professional data trends and networks internally and externally on areas of concern
- Collaborates with business partners in identifying operating needs, issues and solutions with data
- Seeks opportunities to improve, streamline and reinvent work processes and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
- Required: Bachelor’s degree and minimum of three (3) years' related experience
- Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and minimum of five (5) years’ related experience
Other Requirements:
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills
- Knowledge of Database, SQL, Power BI, data analysis, data mining, data transformation
- Experience with Business Intelligence/Data Warehousing environments
- Preferred: Knowledge of the industry and multiple business functions
- Preferred: Demonstrated ability to visualize data to convey information and results clearly
