Overview
The floor technician supervisor is responsible for giving direction, motivations, and guidance to the floor technicians. This position provides cleaning and maintaining floors, including stripping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, refinishing, sealing and spot cleaning.
Responsibilities: - Clean and maintain buildings/facilities
- Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
- Notify Manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
- Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
- Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, walls, machines, and equipment
- Move cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks
- Clean interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
- Wash and replace blinds
- Gather and empty trash
- Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
- Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
- Service, clean, and supply restrooms
- Provides leadership and direction to team members.
- Provides open communication between field employees and management.
- Provides positive coaching to team members.
- Assists with the training of housekeeping staff and schedules work assignments.
- Assists with making daily and weekly work schedules.
- Oversees and performs cleaning operations in assigned building.
- Takes care of keys and access cards for the property
- Reports damaged, broken and out of work features/items.
- Makes sure premises are secured at all times.
- Oversees and performs additional service requests (tag job) in assigned building.
- Works with Area Manager to schedule jobs with Property Manager and cleaning crew to complete the work.
- Coordinates scheduling of cleaning crew.
- Oversees quality of jobs and confirms completion with Area Manager.
- Provides training to all new hires assigned to the building.
- Attends and participates in all meeting and training sessions involving assigned property and crew.
- Completes time sheets, validates time sheet accuracy and delivers time sheets to office.
- Checks supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly.
- Completes order forms completely and accurately.
- Coordinates equipment usage and inventories.
- Performs all tasks and duties required of your team.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 1 year of Floor Tech or similar work experience required
- 1-2 Years Custodial Experience
- 2 to 5 Years Leadership Experience
