Chewy is seeking a highly motivated, resultsoriented, and high-reaching Associate Director, Instock Managment, to join our Chewy Vet Care team. This role is critical for leading the development and management of our supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency and accuracy across our network. You will play a vital role in the organization by owning endtoend planning and execution of supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will have experience creating supply planning strategy, forecasting demand, a passion for problemsolving and process improvement, a track record for using data to drive decisions, and vendor relationship management. You will own metrics across your business such as Instock rates, forecasting accuracy, and inventory placement. This role requires excellent written and verbal communication skills. What You'll Do:
- Lead a team responsible for building, running, and optimizing our supply chain operations for Chewy Vet Care. This includes daytoday management of the business, organizational enablement through tools and training development, and representing the needs of Chewy Vet Care in midrange planning with the broader supply chain, operations, and product organizations.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline supply chain management processes, using automation and process reengineering.
- Build stopgap solutions that impact supply chain workflows, with an emphasis on automating manual tasks and defining new processes.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams, including Merchandising, Business Intelligence, Product Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance, to evaluate and integrate new tools and technologies.
- Liaise with centralized tech teams to provide requirements, audit inputs and outputs, submit feature requests, and flag bugs.
- Provide indepth business insights through data analysis on process outputs and operational performance.
- Analyze multiple, large data sets to identify actionable insights that drive improvement across your team.
- Proactively assess data needs and work with data engineering teams to develop new data tables, metrics, and products.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for key processes, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Develop and maintain metrics and inspection mechanisms to run the business effectively. Proactively identify defects, root causes, and build plans to resolve them while communicating progress to partners.
- Proactively identify and communicate issues, changes to priorities, or changes to functional strategy to crossfunctional partners. Provide awareness of the status of deliverables using varying communication techniques and styles as required.
- Partner with crossfunctional teams to champion alignment where needed to achieve the best business outcomes while encouraging opposing viewpoints to overcome obstacles and balance contending goals.
- Build and implement roadmaps with multiple partners and dependencies, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of initiatives.
What You'll Need:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics, or a related field with an emphasis on analytics and quantitative skills; MBA or Masters in Analytics preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with a minimum of 2 years of experience as a people manager.
- At least 7 years of experience in supply chain management, operations management, or a related field, preferably in an ecommerce or retail setting.
- Tried experience in leading operational excellence through datadriven process improvements.
- Demonstrable experience in building data visualizations and translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Excellent partner management and prioritization skills, with the ability to implement systems, processes, and scalable frameworks.
- Proficiency in SQL and practical experience with data analysis tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to use data to drive decisionmaking and recommendations.
- Thorough understanding of Financial metrics and P&L statements.
- Validated experience in building and completing roadmaps with multiple customers and dependencies.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous and resourceconstrained environments.
Bonus Qualifications:
- MBA, Masters in Analytics, or sophisticated academic degree.
- Project Management Certification.
- Lean Six Sigma certification.
- Advanced skills in Tableau and other data visualization tools.
- Advanced technical skills using Python or Knime.
- Data modeling experience in Merchandising, Finance, Retail, or Ecommerce.
