Jabil has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support activities at our customer site in Irvine, CA!
How will you make an impact?
In this role, you will provide equipment and process support (including machine maintenance) to at our customer site in Irvine, CA. The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will support the department in, implementing, and maintaining; integrated, production and service delivery systems that assure performance, reliability, maintainability, schedule adherence, and cost control within the production site.
What will you do?
- Update the site layout and project layouts, as directed by the Industrial Engineer
- Assist Manufacturing Engineers with work instructions preparations
- Assist Industrial Engineers with line layout design using AutoCAD
- Assist Industrial Engineers in setting up new production lines and changes in production line layout
- Tools and fixtures preventive maintenance and calibration
- Ensuring workstations are running in good condition, assisting production in resolving any computer, scanner, printer issues, ESD compliance issues
- As part of the safety team, MET also is part of the safety walk and assists in fixing safety concerns
- Production support for any process-related manufacturing issues, working and collaborating with all departments in resolving the issues.
How will you get here?
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
Experience:
- 1-2 years of related experience
- Experience with line layouts, calibrations, and preventative maintenance
- Understanding and applying a broad range of engineering tools (ie, Work measurement, process mapping, facilities, workstation design, etc.)
- Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot mechanical equipment
- Basic analytical ability
- Basic communication skills
- Proficiency in using personal computers, Microsoft Office products, and AutoCAD skills required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Demonstrated Hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance.
- Advanced Knowledge in the area that is being assigned.
- Relentless in exploring new and latest methods in improving assembly techniques.
- Lead Process and Equipment Evaluation aligned to the needs of the site as assigned by the ME Manager.
- Knowledge of Basic Statistics and knowledge of carrying a DOE is a plus.
- Understanding of DFM/A, FMEA, and IPC requirements.
- Able to write technical reports for the Site.

The hourly pay range for this role is $25.90 - $46.61.
