Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position
As a Test Design Engineer at John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group, located in Morrisville, NC, you will design new and enhance existing manufacturing and PV&V test systems for robust electronics intended for on/off road vehicles and harsh environments. In addition, with some assistance, you will:
- Draft requirements and verification plans for tester developments
- Operate in a team environment, providing guidance to design solutions and actively participating in design reviews.
- Implement code with basic usage of LabVIEW development practices and tools.
- Solve integration issues that involve multiple code modules, code bases, and/or multiple developers.
- Employ independent troubleshooting strategies; quickly determine root cause with some support from others.

- Experience in LabVIEW or other equivalent programming languages
- Experience with Data Acquisition (DAQ) and other basic hardware systems
- Technical experience using and understanding electronic schematics and circuit analysis tools (PSpice, MathCAD).
- Experience with development and debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multi-meters, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Current experience with John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group processes and procedures
- Experience with PV&V Testing and test fixture Development
- Experience with communication protocols (i.e. CAN, Ethernet, USB, etc.)
- Experience using MathCAD, OrCAD and/or PSpice
- Experience with statistical analysis (SPC, GR&R, Monte Carlo, etc.)
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering from an accredited engineering program or equivalent experience.
