As a Registered Dietitian I, you'll generate revenue and sales by executing nutrition services (and be measured on revenue and sales targets achieved per week). You'll also implement health and wellness initiatives to improve the lives and health of our customers and Partners.

We are looking for:
- a bachelor of science degree in nutrition, food science, or related field
- Registered Dietitian; Licensed Dietitian in the State of Texas; active NPI number
What is the work?
Sales / Administration:
- Drives additional revenue to H-E-B through sales of specific products, information, and nutrition services
- Promotes heb.com and the H-E-B App, including recipe creation, health content, recipe makeovers, and item selection
- Works directly with Store leadership, Pharmacy, Rx OTC Ambassador, and other departments to execute referral programs and create nutrition service opportunities
- Implements regional / corporate health initiatives at the Store level to drive sales
- Drives / measures sales of specific items, specifically nutrition services, product push lists and referral services to H-E-B Pharmacy (measured on revenue / sales targets achieved per week)
- Consistently and accurately tracks administrative duties, services, and revenue completed by week
- Invoices customers for nutrition services
- Occasionally provides input to help develop H-E-B-wide health and nutrition initiatives / programs for Partners and the community by sharing Store / Regional perspective on current food / health trends
- Provides feedback on the viability of existing / potential future nutrition services
Coaching / Training / Supervision:
- Educates Store Partners, customers, and other employers on health and nutrition to drive knowledge, sales, loyalty, and health improvement
- Teaches, recruits, tracks, executes shopping tours, cooking demos, 1:1 consultations and follow ups, referrals, community events, in-Store selling and health / wellness events, training classes, lunch and learns, disease management classes, etc.
- Conducts presentations and demos that represent H-E-B as the Destination for Health and Wellness
- Serves as subject matter expert on nutrition for the Store
- Conducts nutritional counseling for Partners and customers in 1:1 and group settings (lunch and learns, shopping / cooking demos for specific dietary needs, Store tours, etc.)
- May supervise Dietetic interns or practicum nutrition students
Communications:
- Represents H-E-B as a spokesperson for nutrition education, health, and wellness
- Represents H-E-B in the media; conducts interviews with print and digital media as needed, as needed
What is your background?
- Bachelor of science degree in nutrition, food science, or related field
- Registered Dietitian
- Licensed Dietitian in the State of Texas
- Active NPI number
- 0+ years of experience in a nutrition-related field, culinary environment, or food-related product development
- Experience in a sales- / marketing-related field
- Experience in dietetic counseling
- Experience in a retail environment
Do you have what it takes to be a fit as a Registered Dietitian I at H-E-B?
- Strong administrative skills (e.g., operating a projector, setting up a room for meetings, and all logistics with conducting nutritional services in / outside a Store)
- Intermediate written / verbal communication and presentation skills
