We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Category Buyer/Procurement Manager to join our industry-leading Asset Services team.
The principal purpose of the role is to manage specific categories of spend, contract management, supplier relationship management, and supplier performance activities for defined subcategories.
This role will act as a key point of contact for the organisation in category management, consulting with the Category Manager, Procurement Manager, and business unit stakeholders to formulate and execute client-focused objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing contract life cycles and supplier negotiations for category management across the dedicated portfolio
- Managing tenders and performing tender analysis
- Conducting financial analysis and benchmarking
- Monitoring and managing vendor performance
- Building strong relationships with suppliers and facilities managers
- Acting as the primary point of contact in dispute resolution
- Managing our third-party vetting consultants
Experience Required:
- 2-5 years of relevant procurement and supply management experience
- Experience within Property or Facilities Management (FM) preferred
- Professional certification such as CPSM, CIPS, or evidence of continued professional growth
- Experience in procurement/contract management of soft or hard services, facilities management, and/or property management is desirable
- Knowledge of contract law and its application in the purchasing process
- Experience in contract negotiation and managing KPI/contractor performance
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders and build strong working relationships
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office, with strong numerical and analytical skills
