World Electric is hiring an Administrative Assistant to join our team
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Starting Rate: Competitive hourly rate with full benefits package
Job Description: Schedules appointments, gives information to callers and conducts clerical and administrative work by performing the following duties:
· Coordinate office activities and operations to ensure efficiency
· Interact with vendors in a professional manner
· Ensure all delivery orders are processed and closed
· Maintain and update records and databases, including personnel and financial
· Responsible for daily operations, including accounts payable, processing product returns, invoicing
· Responsible for the administration of purchase orders and branch manifest
· Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary
· Other administrative duties as needed
Required Skills
The following skills are required but are not limited to:
· Read and interpret documents such as training instructions, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Write routine reports and correspondence.
· Speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of the organization.
· Interact with customers in a responsive manner over the telephone and in person. Able to handle difficult customer situations with diplomacy.
· Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
· Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
· Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
· Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
· The individual must be entrepreneurial and assertive and possess the experience, skills, and attitude to be able to achieve the company’s market share/revenue goals.
Required Experience
· High school diploma or equivalent
· 3+ years’ experience and/or training preferred
