Job Description
Universal Talent Development & Inclusion (UTD&I) brings together talent strategies for NBCUniversal Studio Group’s workforce as well as film production crews designed to elevate the skills and capabilities of our people, while fostering an inclusive work environment. As part of the UTD&I team, and reporting to the SVP, Talent Development & Inclusion, this role will drive and enable the talent strategy for the workforce within the NBCU Studio Group business, leading a team of leadership and organizational development practitioners and diversity, equity and inclusion business partners.
Key areas of responsibility will include but not be limited to:
- In partnership with SVP, Talent Development and Inclusion, lead the assessment, design, development and implementation of talent development and inclusion strategy for NBCU Studio group’s 4,000+ employees across North America, EMEA, and APAC.
- Drive and continue to evolve the talent strategy for the workforce aligned with the business needs and employee lifecycle and equity and inclusion (DEI)practices to grow and develop internal talent at all levels
- Inspire, grow and manage a high-performing team, creating synergies between the L&OD and Workforce DEI functions to build a cohesive strategy that enhances organizational effectiveness and drives cultural transformation.
- Use various talent data to assess how well strategies and programs are meeting goals, and present progress in a clear way visually (e.g. PowerPoint) and verbally (meetings and larger forums).
- Serve as a partner and thought leader to our internal key stakeholders, assessing current state, recommending improvements, providing market insights and continually iterating and shaping for the future, while also ensuring that learning and growth initiatives enhances, and drive business and people related results
- Strategic advisor and expert to leaders on development tools and content used in research on leadership and inclusion to develop evidence-based plans
- Drive and support global change management initiatives and practices in support of the business priorities
- Responsible for awareness of global trends and events that may impact productivity of internal talent and broader workforce, and act as a conduit for solutions and support to the organization
- Innovate frequently to customize and optimize the ways of working and empowering business champions to be part of the growth journey
- Leading with analytics, actively and proactively partnering with HR in shaping strategy, managing change, improving processes, redesigning organizational structures, identifying and coaching key talent, and realigning/shifting cultures assuring high performing, engaged and inclusive teams
- Manage talent processes and influence key HR initiatives, such as performance management, talent & succession planning, training solutions and development, organizational effectiveness, engagement surveying, and other
- Lead and integrate diversity, equity and inclusion into all aspects of Leadership and Organizational Development, ensuring inclusive principles are embedded in talent development strategies and practices
- Review and incorporate a robust assessment/certification process that complements the delivery elements, enabling the measurement of an individual’s development progress and growth in behavioral competencies
- Collaborate and work closely with enterprise-wide stakeholders in the company to ensure alignment with business goals and priorities and to adjust the learning approach based on feedback while contributing to build and sustain a workforce that reflects the company’s values and continued growth and excellence
- Work with leaders and employees to establish and maintain a positive work environment, which encourages the full use of diverse talents and abilities; act as an employee advocate; help drive various corporate and division business initiatives
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in HR or relevant discipline (e.g. psychology)
- 15 + years’ experience, preferably in Organization Effectiveness Consulting / Learning / Coaching / Counseling
- Experience as a training & Org Development professional within a large, complex organization is required
Desired Characteristics
- Master’s degree preferred
- Prior experience managing a global talent development function
- International experience is a plus
- Certifications in 360 feedback and related psychometrics tools highly desired
- Learning development and training certification highly desired
- Experience developing learning and development curriculum and utilizing multiple, state-of-the-art delivery methods and distance learning options
- Strong platform / facilitation skills
- Experience as a leader having had past oversight of direct reports, and others who managed people
