High School Intensive Needs/Life Skills Teacher needed (GREAT KIDS!)
Must have, or be willing to get, NH Special Education Certification or NH Teaching Certification
Experience working in High School and with Intensive Needs preferred. As well as experience with teaching Life Skills.
There are 5 students in the program that the person is responsible for the case management.

Job Summary:
Republic Educational Services, a division of, Republic Health Resources is seeking compassionate Special Education Teachers, to join our school in Plaistow, NH. The Special Ed Teachers will work collaboratively with school leadership, students, parents, teachers, and school support staff to help our students achieve the highest degree of academic, emotional, and behavioral success.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students with diverse learning needs and creating inclusive educational environments.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide specialized instruction in various subjects, including Math and Language Arts
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with other educators, therapists, and parents to support student progress
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of students with autism, developmental disabilities, and other challenges
- Administer and interpret standardized tests to assess student learning and progress
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field; Master's degree preferred
- NH certification in Special Education, or willingness to apply.
- Experience working with students with autism, developmental disabilities, or other special needs - including behavioral issues.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Previous experience in an educational setting is beneficial
