Overview
The Traveling Floor Cleaner is responsible for floor maintenance, restoration, and the operation of industrial floor care equipment. This position is full time day shift and requires about 50% overnight travel within Utah and out of state during the week and home on the weekends.
Essential Functions
- Cleans and maintains buildings/facilities.
- Performs heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, Carpet Extraction, washing walls and glass, and cleaning hard surface floors.
- Notifies managers concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to building operating systems
- Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
- Complies with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities
- Mobile cleaners must be flexible and willing to complete all tasks that are assigned.
- Must be willing to travel overnight on the road a week at a time.
- Position is 50% Travel. Transportation and lodging provided.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- No experience required and on the job training provide
- No high school diploma, GED or college degree required
- Must be willing to travel overnight on the road a week at a time
- Must have a current Driver's license with no restrictions.
Responsibilities
- Monitors building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours
- Drives vehicles (if required) to perform assigned scheduled work
- Must pass background check and MVR (Motor Vehicle Report)
- Must have a current Driver's license with no restrictions.
- May be expected to make basic repairs
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Travel on the road to various assigned locations/ transportation and lodging provided.
- Cleans building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them. Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Sometimes using ladders, dusts and washes furniture, walls, machines, and equipment; cleans ceilings and dusts and polishes light fixtures.
- Moves cabinets, boxes, furniture, crates and equipment to clean areas, either manually or by using hand trucks
- May remove stains from such surfaces as rugs, drapes, walls, and floors using chemicals and cleaning solutions
- Mixes water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications
- Strips, seals, finishes, and polishes floors
- Cleans and vacuums carpeted areas, including application of spot cleaning treatment
- Gathers and empties trash
- Wipes and cleans tabletops, chairs, and equipment
- Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures
- Services, deep cleans, and supplies restrooms
- Periodically cleans overhead vents, dusts blinds, and polishes wood furniture
- Cleans interior partition glass, windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees
- Requisitions supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties
- Opportunities for overtime and bonus pay
- Able to work at heights above 9ft and less than 30ft
Pay: $18.00+
Hourly Pay: The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
Shift: Monday - Friday (8:00 -4:30PM) - 50% OVERNIGHT TRAVEL
Must reside in the Salt Lake City area!!!!!
