Associate Director, GEC Investigations
RTX is looking for an experienced investigator who will provide critical support to the Vice President and Associate General Counsel, Investigations for the Global Ethics and Compliance organization. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, team player with strong organizational skills and vast experience conducting investigations.
What You Will Do
- Assist with and conduct investigations regarding allegations of employee misconduct, including alleged corporate policy violations and unlawful activities.
- Assist with investigations and subpoena responses involving law enforcement.
- Assist in managing investigations including (but not limited to) research, document retrieval and production, discovery management and interface with company and outside counsel in support of the same.
- Primary responsibilities include designing and drafting investigation plans, reviewing documents (including emails, chats, instant messages, expense reports, etc.), conducting witness interviews, writing interview memorandums, and writing investigation reports.
- Coordinate with other areas/departments of the Company where overlap exists to develop efficient procedures/communications to streamline processes and satisfy various department needs.
- Travel, as needed, to support investigations.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelors Degree and a minimum 12 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree and 10 years minimum years of experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience conducting investigations.
- Previous experience leading projects.
- Previous experience managing and organizing client and internal department documents and processes in electronic format; launching and maintenance of data sites.
- Technical skills , to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and e-discovery tools.
- U.S Citizenship is required, as only U.S Citizens are authorized to access information under this program/ contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Active Secret/ Top Secret Clearance.
- Prior federal or local law-enforcement investigative experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks and deadlines.
- Experience working in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Task oriented, analytical, organized, detail oriented, self-motivated; the ability to work as part of a team and multi-task is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to work as a strong contributor in a team environment and able to interact will all levels of staff and management.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills a must (both written and oral) with the ability to professionally and collaboratively address and resolve issues.
- Ability to use independent judgment and creativity applied to resolution of issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information is vital.
- Experience with briefing senior leadership on investigative findings
- Experience with creating investigative plans
- Experience in objective report writing
- Familiarity with the Estimate at Complete (EAC) process
- Extensive Investigative and interviewing experience
- Experience in collaboration across multiple investigative disciplines
- General understanding of the of the contracting process
- Familiarity with Truth in Negotiation Act (TiNA)
- Familiarity with Export Control regulations such as ITAR and EAR
- Familiarity with Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
