Material Coordinator – Leetsdale PA

The Microbulk Material Coordinator manages parts for and assembles and ships pre-packaged "installation kits" required by field technicians for the installation of Microbulk equipment at customer sites. The kits consist of loose parts and assembly instructions for the field technicians. These kits are pre-assembled so that they can be shipped quickly, and to ensure that the field technicians have all the parts they need to complete an installation in one site visit.
In addition to managing the Microbulk parts, the Microbulk Materials Coordinator is also responsible for assembling kits for the CE Liquid Bulk group and supporting the Leetsdale warehouse.
Required Skills / Abilities:
- Dependable, detail orientated, organized and work well in a team environment.
- Organized and have time management skills are essential to ensure shipments are completed according to schedule
- SAP or comparable software experience is a strong plus.
Key Job Responsibilities:
This role is critical in managing parts for the Microbulk business by ensuring that parts are received, consolidated, assembled into installation kits, and shipped in a timely manner. Specific responsibilities include:
- Work as part of Leetsdale team to efficiently receive, consolidate and ship orders for all activity through the warehouse.
- Support the Microbulk business:
- Pre-assemble Microbulk parts kits
- Process reservations for Microbulk orders daily
- Ensure package quality – correct parts & no missing parts [single shipment]
- Reduce priority shipping
- Cut 20ft pipe into 8 ft lengths to save shipping costs
- Work with Specialists to ensure parts arrive at correct destination a week before install
- Communicate with Specialists shipment cut-off date – all parts must be ordered
- Raise flag on missing parts
- Track all shipments to reduce lost parts – parts are routinely lost at hubs
- Monitor Microbulk parts inventory levels to eliminate part shortages
- Review & increase safety stock on commonly ordered parts as necessary
- Manage blocked stock inventory in SAP for Microbulk – copper tubing
- Monitor scheduled inbound deliveries
- Work with suppliers & purchasing to track missing deliveries
- Inform Specialists of missing parts and expected arrival time frame
- Recommend solutions to streamline existing work processes
- Support Liquid Bulk projects by fulfilling orders for Preferred Offering (PFO) kits
- This is a safety sensitive position.
Minimum Hiring Requirements:
- 2 year experience in a warehousing or manufacturing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiar with MS office and SAP
Work Hours:
- This is a plant-based position
- Monday – Friday
- On Call required, when become shift independent.
