Title: Material Flow Packaging Specialist - 108694
Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position
As a Material Flow Packaging Specialistfor John Deere Des Moines Works located in Ankeny, IA, you will identify packaging solutions for purchased parts with consideration for safety, ergonomics, part quality, shipping efficiency, material flow/handling efficiency, and line side presentation for both the Product Delivery Process (PDP) and the Order Fulfillment Process (OFP). In addition, you will:
- Collaborate with PDP Manufacturing Engineers to design and develop part racking
- Collaborate with third party suppliers to finalize, quote, and build prototypes and full rack loops for all PDP programs
- Provide daily support on inquiries related to returnable containers, and work with third party suppliers of returnable containers and services

- 2 or more years of experience with Material Flow, Manufacturing, Operations, and/or Supply Management
- 2 or more years of demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at a time
- 2 or more years of experience with process development/improvement
- 1 or more years of experience with CREO models and prints
- Experience with SAP, specifically Material Master and Production Planning
- Demonstrated skills and experience with interpersonal communications, conflict resolution, and negotiation
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel
- Demonstrated understanding of Material Flow processes
- Demonstrated understanding of the order fulfillment processes (OFP) and product delivery processes (PDP)
- Experience supporting the CI200 process
- Experience with tool, rack, or fixture design
- Tableau or PowerBI experience
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work experience in Engineering/Technology, Supply Management, or Business/Management.
