As a District Environmental Manager for Kiewit, you will lead and oversee environmental management practices numerous construction projects at the district level, within the Kiewit Nuclear Solutions. Location
- Oak Ridge, TN, or Lenexa, KS. This is not a remote position. Ability to travel to project sites and office locations (ID, SC, TN, KS).
Responsibilities
- Lead environmental compliance efforts, processes, improvements, and new program implementations for the district.
- Identify, assess, and reduce environmental risks to the company.
- Develop and update environmental plans; Develop and conduct environmental protection.
- Perform and oversee field inspections.
- Maintain project data tracking requirements.
- Function as a principal technical advisor for environmental issues.
- Identify, document, and develop corrective actions for environmental incidents.
- Participate in project audits, internal and external.
- Prepare Kiewit required reports and communication of environmental risks to company management.
- Review requirements and prepare proposals.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in an environmental science, engineering field, or related.
- 10+ years' experience managing design and construction environmental compliance for large construction projects.
- Working knowledge of DOE and commercial nuclear federal environmental legislation and regulations.
- Highly motivated and self-managed to get things done right the first time.
- Effective and strong written/verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Share Point, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent organization abilities and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Uncompromising attitude towards safety and integrity.
