What does a successful Director, Business Development do at Fiserv?

As a Director, Business Development within the Data Commerce Solutions team, you are a self-starter and will be driving a strategic data driven transformation by leveraging our unique position as an industry leader and our ability to capitalize on our data. You are a leader who is naturally inquisitive, can readily move between the complex world of data, analytics and insights and are able to bridge the use of information in a business context.
What you will do:
- Lead and execute the commercialization of partnerships.
- Design and execute a thorough process for identification and selection of long-term partners.
- Cultivate opportunities to create new revenue streams across the relationship.
- Lead and execute partner strategy aligned to Data Commerce Solutions’ strategy and goals.
- Lead commercial negotiations and deal structuring.
- Actively manage and focus on commercial growth with product partners over the life of the partnership.
- Travel 60% or more (minimum 3 days/week).
What you will need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- 7-10 years minimum relevant experience, including relationship management of large, complex client organizations with accountability of substantial revenue stream.
- Sales or Partnership experience with in-depth knowledge of the data and analytics industry.
- Proficiency creating relationships across large, complex organizations, maintaining effective working relationships and interacting effectively with all levels across technical and business functions as well as with client and or partner organizations.
- Negotiation know-how and gravitas.
- Experience problem solving using innovation in approaching partnership opportunities.
- Experience developing commercial strategies and deal structures bringing new products to market.
