What does a successful Technical Business Analyst do at Fiserv?
You will help establish, and adhere to, business analyst standards and assist with the software development process by defining and documenting software requirements. By reviewing and testing the developed software, you’ll ensure that it functions correctly, meets our software development standards, and fulfills the previously agreed to requirements. You will use your exemplary verbal and written communication skills to communicate between technical and non-technical audiences and your strong planning skills to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
What you will do:
- Work with internal stakeholders such as Product Management, Client Care, and Compliance, as well as clients, to clearly define and document their requests
- Assist with diagnosis and troubleshooting of reported problems pertaining to software
- Determine how to best implement the requested changes or customization, which may include working with Development staff, Product Managers, QA staff and/or other Business Analysts
- Create technical requirements documentation with sufficient detail to enable application developers to complete programming requests
- Convert business requirements to technical requirements
- Ensure that the final user documentation effectively conveys the information the client needs
- Test and validate developed software solutions to ensure that the completed product matches with the business requirements and operates correctly
What you will need to have:
- 6 to 8 years of IT business analysis experience with the full software development life cycle (SDLC) within an Agile environment
- 5+ years of experience using business analysis tools and techniques, such as requirements gathering, process mapping, use cases, and gap analysis
- 5+ years of experience of creating technical requirements documents and functional requirements specifications
- 3+ years of experience in financial industry and knowledge of financial technologies, standards, and industry regulations (i.e., Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience
