They collaborate closely with various teams and departments to ensure compliance with print color standards while staying updated with industry advancements.
What you will do
- Oversee the entire print color management process to ensure consistent and high-quality print production
- Utilize G-7 expertise to implement and standardize print color applications across various print manufacturing settings
- Monitor and adjust color calibration systems, software, and equipment to maintain precise color accuracy
- Collaborate with design, production, implementations, and quality assurance teams to develop and enforce compliance with print color standards
- Provide guidance, training, and support to internal and external teams on color management techniques, processes, and industry best practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to color accuracy, consistency, and print quality within a fast-paced production environment
- Maintain and update print resources such as color profiles, fonts, calibration settings, and equipment specifications to ensure optimal performance
- Stay current with industry trends, advancements, and emerging technologies to continuously improve print color management processes
What you will need to have
- 7+ years of demonstrated experience in print color management, preferably in print manufacturing settings
- 6+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience
- Experience in utilizing G-7 methodology to achieve standardized print color applications
- Strong understanding of color theory, colorimetry, and spectrophotometry
- Experience working with color management systems, software, and equipment
What would be great to have
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts, Print Management, or a related field
- Industry certifications in print color management, such as G7 Professional
- Experience working with external clients and internal teams
- Familiarity with Infoprint Manager software and iConvert IPDS-to-PostScript conversion.
- Knowledge of printer error interpretation and resource management
- Experience with creating and maintaining print resources, including fonts and page definitions
