This position is responsible for end to end process ownership of micro space planning for their department/category and serves as point of contact for Micro Space to core merchandising. This position will work cross functionally to analyze and optimize all categories within their responsibility and ensure the merchandising intent on the planogram aligns with strategy. The output of this role will be to improve space productivity, operational efficiency and enhance the customer shopping experience
What you will do
- This position will document standards and criteria for category of responsibility.
- Responsible for making continuous improvements to the planogram process through automations, process redesign, or technology recommendations
- This position will be responsible for onboarding of new employees and continued training of Planogram Analyst and Planogram Senior Specialist teams on new processes
- Develop and utilize vendor relationships to support planogram development that meets corporate business standards. Responsible for developing training, onboarding vendors, and managing planogram executions
- Partner with Visual Merchandising on design and analysis of planograms that reflect merchant strategic intent while simultaneously driving operational efficiency and profitability for Lowe’s
- Responsible for pulling and analyzing planogram metrics to support reset projects and drive space productivity. This work consists of analysis of business, financial and operational metrics
- Responsible for making data driven recommendations for item facings, and placement based on analytics in order to create operationally efficient planograms while optimizing micro space, thereby, enhancing the customer shopping experience
- Responsible for driving efficient process to support and lead the capture and creation of core planograms (most common POG) in JDA. Define the number of core planograms needed for planogram execution
- Document all Micro Space information within the reset project playbook and create planogram hand off document to support planogram production
- Planogram Analyst is responsible for review of POG Hand Off and all version/index documentation prior to being deployed to SSCB or Lowe’s product vendors. They must review all Core Planograms to ensure compliance with Lowe’s Standards and Merch intent prior to conducting the Collaborative Planogram Review
- Manages Collaborative Planogram Review process to ensure compliance with merchant intent and strategy, customer shopping experience expectations and product facing allocations based on business and financial metrics
- Responsible for ensuring effective hand off process between SSCM and SSCB or product vendors. This consists of POG strategy, POG execution and POG Proofing documentation as well as conducting POG hand off meeting per the teams required document. Promptly respond to business partners on any issues or concerns that arise during project
- Conduct initial POG proofing at the beginning of the planogram versioning process to ensure compliance with intent and strategy. Schedule routine project specific touch base meetings with SSCB during versioning process to ensure alignment and project progression
- Partner with Merch Infrastructure to create reporting, tables and other automations for report based proofing of planograms delivered by SSCB and vendor partners. Responsible for quality assurance via reporting and visual inspection to ensure compliance with intent and strategy
- Ensures information is presented in an easily formatted manner for store execution and seeks feedback from cross functional business partners to ensure the Strategies and Merchandising Intent are communicated effectively.
- Manage planogram assignment process to ensure timely and accurate planograms are assigned and sent to the stores to enable reset activity
- Manage planogram support mailbox and communicate to the stores in a timely manner. Escalate any issues to management
- Owns planogram portion of Post Mortem review on reset projects that are for their department/category
