Job Summary
The Military Recruitment and Retention Analyst will focus on recruiting efforts for military hiring events. This role requires traveling 60% of the time to attend and manage military recruitment events, serving as the iCIMS Candidate Relationship Manager (CRM) 's primary resource, and supporting campaign strategy through text and email communication. Additionally, this individual will manage candidate pipelines from events for future opportunities.
The Military Recruitment and Retention Analyst will also act as a Teammate Engagement Specialist, working closely with current employees to gather feedback through surveys and help retain teammates identified as ‘at risk’. This role will be responsible for creating and analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to forecast 3-5-year trends that will support business decisions related to the teammate retention program. This position does not involve full cycle recruiting but will include reporting functionality to support other duties.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:
- Develop and Execute Recruiting Plans
- Create and implement recruiting strategies specifically for military hiring events, focusing on targeted outreach and engagement of veteran candidates.
- Coordinate the logistics of attending military career fairs and events, ensuring strong representation and brand visibility.
- Develop and manage text and email campaigns using the iCIMS Candidate Relationship Manager (CRM) to engage potential candidates before, during, and after events.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of candidates from military events, ensuring a strong flow of potential talent for future hiring needs.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition Manager and other internal stakeholders to align event strategies with company-wide recruitment goals and objectives.
- Analyze event success metrics and adjust strategies based on quantitative and qualitative data to optimize future event performance.
- Network through industry contacts, association memberships, trade groups and employees
- Build relationships with military organizations, veteran associations, and military transition programs to enhance event participation and outreach.
- Engage with military-focused industry groups and associations to stay informed on trends, best practices, and networking opportunities.
- Leverage internal teammates and military veterans within the company to promote referral programs and identify potential candidates for future roles.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and military networking events to establish connections with key stakeholders and expand the talent pool.
- Maintain ongoing communication with candidates and industry professionals to stay connected for future recruiting events and initiatives.
- Collaborate with trade groups and other recruiting teams to share insights and best practices for attracting military talent.
- Teammate Engagement Specialist for Employee Retention and Analytics
- Develop and distribute surveys to gather both quantitative and qualitative data on teammate satisfaction, engagement, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with at-risk employees to gather insights, address concerns, and implement strategies to improve retention and overall job satisfaction.
- Analyze survey results and engagement data to identify trends, root causes of turnover, and areas of opportunity for retention initiatives.
- Provide actionable recommendations to leadership based on data-driven insights, helping shape long-term retention strategies and programs.
- Forecast retention risks and opportunities using data to inform 3-5-year projections and guide decision-making related to workforce planning and retention initiatives.
- Work closely with HR, Talent Acquisition, and department leads to ensure alignment between employee engagement efforts and broader company goals.
- Serve as the point of contact for teammates regarding engagement initiatives and retention programs.
- Administrative duties and recordkeeping
- Maintain accurate records of candidate information, engagement activities, and event outcomes within the iCIMS CRM for future talent pipeline tracking.
- Compile and report on key metrics related to teammate engagement, retention initiatives, and survey results to support leadership decision-making.
- Ensure all event-related data, including candidate information and follow-up actions, is properly documented and easily accessible for reporting and compliance purposes.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) from four-year college or university and 3 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Military background or experience working with veteran recruiting programs is highly desirable.
- 3-5 years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, or employee engagement, preferably focusing on military or event-specific recruiting.
- Strong experience with data analysis and survey development, including the ability to interpret and apply both quantitative and qualitative data to inform decision-making.
- Familiarity with using Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) systems, preferably iCIMS, for campaign management and candidate tracking.
