As a PEG Coordinator, you are responsible for maintaining and running the automation tools and equipment needed for encoding and sustaining regular cablecast programs. The ideal applicant for this position should be familiar with encoding digital video footage and have expertise controlling video/audio and automation systems equipment. You are an essential part of a collaborative team that produces compelling, timely, and accurate newscasts intended to engage and connect with our local audience.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM NEWS
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Video Production and Master Control Operations – 2+ years
- Education: Associates degree in Telecommunications, Electronics or related field or comparable television, cable television work experience
- Technical skills: Knowledge of the computer automation systems used in PEG facilities required, knowledge of studio-based production and postproduction, basic understanding of transmission, broadcasting, switching, control and operation of television broadcasting systems,
- Skills: Effective communication skills and ability to work well under pressure and time deadlines.
- Abilities: ability to read waveform, vector-scope and RF monitor
- Schedule: Ability to work different shifts or longer shifts due to “breaking news” and severe weather emergencies, ability to work weekends and holidays
- Valid driver’s license for authorized driving in the State of residence
Working Conditions
- Television studio environment
- Primarily inside in a climate-controlled environment
- Communicates in person, by phone and by email
- Materials and equipment used: various studio and control room television equipment, computers and computer-related equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs

The base pay for this position generally is between
$20.00 and $33.40. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses.
