Leidos Defense Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineer with EMI/EMC experience to join a talented team. You will be a part of a diverse team of engineers, analysts, and software developers supporting spaceflight programs.
In this role, you will directly support the development and prototyping of interplanetary rovers and their test hardware, following industry best practices for evaluation and analysis of Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) and Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC).The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be a strong team player, and be capable of establishing solid working relationships with peers and technical staff members within the program.
Primary Responsibilities.
• Perform high-level development functions including design, development, troubleshooting, and evaluation of system requirements, as related to EMI/EMC
• Integrate with the program team to collaborate on the design and develop of components and sub-systems, including enhancements that incorporate new capabilities into various components of existing systems
• Responsible for using sound engineering principles in the evaluation and analysis of EMI/EMC related requirements and interfaces. Write process, procedures, and plans as related to EMI/EMC.
• Contribute as a member of a team and actively participate in program increment planning and related team activities
Basic Qualifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar relevant degree with at least 12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with at least 10 years of prior relevant experience
• Knowledge and experience with performance of EMI/EMC evaluation and analysis related to space hardware
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and deliver presentations
• Must be a US citizen
• Must be a resident of Huntsville, Alabama, or be able to travel to Huntsville, Alabama to support on-site activities as needed.
• Must be eligible to obtain a secret clearance or higher
Preferred Qualifications.
• Experience supporting NASA and/or commercial space hardware development programs
• Prior work using collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Sharepoint, Fusion, Gitlab)

Pay Range:
Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00
