Program Summary
KBR’s Aviation & Ground Systems Directorate provides Systems Engineering & Integration support to the Army’s Aviation and Ground soldiers with project based and full-time personnel support services. Job Summary
The applicant will perform as an Equipment Mechanic and possess skillsets to perform data collection, assist in technical manual review/development, and have hands-on maintenance experience of U.S. Army equipment to include Light/Medium/Heavy Tactical Vehicles. Assist in preparing analytical reports and meeting minutes as required by area manager and/or customer.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Review of Preliminary Technical Manual 2 and associated Repair Parts and Special Tools List (PTM 2)(RPSTL)
- Review of In-Process Reviews (IPRs)
- Review of Level of Repair Analysis reports (LoRA)
- Review of Oshkosh and USG Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
- Review of Contract Data Requirements List data (CDRLs)
- Attend Team meetings (At least weekly)
- Attend Engineering Integrated Product Team Meetings (IPT) (Weekly)
- Attend Logistics Product Support Management Integrated Product Team Meetings (PSMIPT) (Weekly)
- Attend Maintenance, Provisioning, and Publications Conference (MPP) (Special)
- Attend OEM Validation events (Special)
- Attend Verification events (Special)
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years’ experience or 10 years’ experience in lieu of degree in the direct support, operation, and maintenance of U.S. Army ground vehicle systems is required. This experience may have been gained in trades or crafts as a mechanic or other work related to the specialization of the position to be filled.
- Candidates must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Security Clearance to be considered for position.
- The selected applicant should have knowledge and skills in maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of U.S. Army equipment specifically Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with U.S. Army equipment maintenance preferred.
- Must have an automotive background and experience performing maintenance on U.S. Army vehicles, FMTV a plus.
- Must possess a general working knowledge of how the Army Supply System works.
- Be able to read Technical Drawings and identify parts.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings, engineering change orders, equipment requisitions, shop orders, and work orders.
- A good working knowledge of word processing and integrated software applications, excellent communications skills; both written and verbal are desired.
- Strong interpersonal skills in a team-based development environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in PC use with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of working with and developing Maintenance Plans, Provisioning Parts Lists, Maintenance Task Analysis, Life Cycle Management, Maintenance Allocation Charts, Repair Parts and Special Tools Lists, and ETM/IETM development.
