Job Description
We are seeking a Producer/Video Editor to support original video content for Rotten Tomatoes and Fandango. This role would report directly to the Sr. Manager, Production.
In this role, you will join a small team of Digital Producers to support video content priorities.
This individual should be able to make confident and intelligent decisions that reflect a solid understanding of the business goals and strategies, while also maintaining the integrity and quality of the products for which they are responsible.
The Producer/Video Editor is responsible for end-to-end production needs in the creation of videos. Video content may range from scripted or semi-scripted to unscripted, studio junkets, individual segments, sizzle videos, and short-form content/series to longer-form episodes and branded content.
Responsibilities:
- Produce, edit, shoot video content for an array of video platforms utilized for Rotten Tomatoes including YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and more as assigned.
- Effectively work with in-house and external talent as assigned.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge about latest social, internet zeitgeist, pop-culture, and entertainment news trends.
- Collaborate with various departments internally to ensure the efficacy of video production, as it pertains to all business verticals.
- Ensure production runs according to schedule
- Ensure compliance with company guidelines, including deadlines, legal practices, confidentiality, and design standards.
- Constantly iterate and incorporate audience feedback and data into content
- Work cross-functionally with various departments such as Editorial, Programming, Audience Development, Operations, Talent, Marketing, Business Development, Business Intelligence, Legal, and Advertising Sales to fulfill goals.
- Attend events and conventions as assigned (Tiff, SDCC, SXSW, etc)
- Support team and other duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
Qualifications/Requirements
- 5+years’ experience as a producer/editor/shooter, with demonstrated ability to write, research, produce, and edit original content, that adapts to suit audience and subject.
- Advanced level knowledge of current audio/video editing hardware and software, such as Adobe Premiere.
- Advanced level knowledge of current graphics/compositing software, such as: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects
- Must be a self starter, self-sufficient in taking projects from start to completion.
- Ability to keep a cool head under pressure and work quickly, accurately, and confidently in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally interact with executive-level staff as well as talent.
- Knowledge of video codecs, DSLR and 4K workflow.
- Knowledge of audio mixing, sound design, and color correction.
- Knowledge of the ever-changing landscape of camera technology and production equipment.
- Must be equally comfortable on set, behind an editing keyboard, and with a camera in hand.
