We are seeking a highly skilled PeopleSoft HCM Technical-Functional Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PeopleSoft HCM modules, including a strong technical background in development and customization, along with the ability to understand and analyze business requirements. This role involves working closely with HR stakeholders to implement solutions that enhance the efficiency of the Human Capital Management processes.
The challenge:
- Design, develop, and implement customizations and enhancements for PeopleSoft HCM modules.
- Collaborate with functional teams to gather and analyze business requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of PeopleSoft applications to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
- Maintain and support existing PeopleSoft HCM applications, including upgrades and patches.
- Create and maintain documentation related to system design, configuration, and processes.
- Provide training and support to end-users and stakeholders to ensure effective use of the system.
- Stay updated on PeopleSoft HCM best practices and industry trends to recommend improvements.
- Participate in project planning and execution, ensuring timely delivery within scope. Assist with the testing and implementation of a PUM upgrade on an annual basis.
- Ensure performance optimization.
- On call rotation responsibilities including occasional weekend work.
What Sets You Apart: (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree with eight plus (8+) years of prior relevant experience. May consider more years of relevant experience in lieu of degree
- Extensive experience with PeopleSoft HCM modules (e.g., Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Management).
- Strong technical skills in PeopleTools, Application Engine, PeopleCode, SQR, XML, and Integration Broker.
- Proficient in Application Designer, and Component Interface.
- Experience with SQL, Application Engine
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft Security and Workflow.
- Proficiency in creating and managing PeopleSoft reports using Query and BI Publisher.
- Solid understanding of databases (Oracle preferred) and SQL.
- Experience with PeopleSoft security, roles, and permission lists.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects while meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft upgrade processes and tools is a plus.
You Might also have:
- Public sector Experience with a Utility or Energy Based company
- Strong knowledge of systems development and project management methodologies/processes
- Experience in agile methodologies and project management is an advantage.
- Relevant certifications in PeopleSoft or related technologies are preferred.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft upgrade processes and tools.
- Experience with both Linux and Windows platforms.
- Experience with Service Now case management software.
- Experience with supporting large applications and interacting with end business users.
