Overview
The Station Trainer works in concert with the Client and ABM Service Delivery to deliver all required training for each active line of service in the station. Responsible for scheduling, training, and recording all activity utilizing the applicable Learning Management System (LMS). Strives to conduct training in a best in class manner.
- Works with Senior Leadership in establishing and reviewing standards. Regularly communicates status, needs, issues, approach, and recommendations.
- Utilizes the ABM Learning Spot (TLS) or the Clients’ own Learning Management System (LMS) to launch, conduct, and record all training completions. Works with the Director of Training to address any changes needed in the curriculum.
- Works with local Safety Leadership to develop seamless transition from safety courses to technical knowledge courses.
- Works with the Field Leadership to develop a feedback mechanism that allows for review/ enhancements of training content that furthers our best in class mission. Works with Field leaders to ensure that the trainees transition to the job is seamless.
- Works with the Customer (Air Carriers and Airports) to ensure there is alignment with their Customer policies and standards.
Scope of Job
- Overall responsibility for the training compliance of the station including classroom and on the job activity.
Dimensions and Limits of Authority
- The Trainer works in collaboration with Recruiting, Human Resources, Safety, Operations, and Service Delivery. The Trainer makes recommendations based on classroom observations and submits these observations to management.
- Ability to act as a credible, informed ABM Aviation spokesperson on corporate and local policy and standards issues.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- High School Diploma with advanced college work preferred.
- In depth knowledge of the services that are provided and able to demonstrate the work practices and instructions necessary to achieve the ABM Way.
- Demonstrated knowledge of managing and building relationships with station stakeholders, including management, clients, and employees.
- Excellent written English, with proven ability to address students with language limitations.
- Excellent oral communication skills, with ability to engage different audiences, convey complex information in an accessible way and prepare and give presentations to different audiences.
- Excellent presentation skills in a classroom setting. Ability to command attention and maintain a high degree of engagement, as well as demonstrating active listening skills.
- Willingness to work all shifts as needed.
- Sound working knowledge of window based software packages, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the internet.
Pay: $53,900 - $75,000
The pay listed is the salary range for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
