JOB SUMMARY
Assists the Quality Director in ensuring best practices pertaining to the use of quality tools are driven into all plants of Jabil Healthcare Puerto Rico, with primary focus on the manufacturing floor. Responsible for recruiting, coaching, leading, supervision, training and evaluation of performance of Quality Department staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all Quality Department operational metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Creates, approves and issues quality documentation, Standard Operating Procedures and reports.
- Reviews of present inspection procedures to achieve improvement through improved methods, automated equipment, and reduced testing
- Collects and analyzes data for plant monitoring programs and issues recommendations for corrective actions, as necessary
- Analyzes equipment operation, troubleshoot problems, and identify significant variables affecting process performance
- Supervises instructions to Quality Group Leaders, Quality Technicians and Documentation Technicians. Recommends and implements personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, discharge, and disciplinary actions
- Supports customer complaints investigation reports
- Participates as internal auditor to assure good manufacturing practices and compliance to all regulatory affairs
- Authorizes disposition of non-conforming product
- Maintains quality records
- Issues and approves purchase requisitions administrating approved budget
- Educates personnel in safety, problem solving techniques, housekeeping, good manufacturing practices and good documentation practices, among others
- Receives customer visits in Jabil Healthcare PR site and visits customers
- Performs special project assignments, as required
- Complies and follows all company procedures, rules, safety and health and regulatory policies.
- Keeps management informed of all operational issues.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS preferred
- Minimum four (4) years of experience in quality related field and supervisory experience
- Formal training in GMP, ISO 13485, FDA CFR Part 820,
- Formal training in Lean Six Sigma and SAP System, a plus
- Basic knowledge of SPC and Metrology Concepts/Techniques
- Bilingual (Spanish/English; oral and written)
- Or a combination of education, experience and/or training.
