Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Analysis on Mission Protection: Directly contribute to government’s mission success through comprehensive analysis, thought leadership and proactive action on mission protection activities.
- Developing and Training Site Plan: Support the development, training, assessment, periodic exercises, and improvement of the contingency checklists.
- Collaboration with Internal and External Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal and external entities for activities associated with site and mission inspections and report findings and recommendations.
- Mission Essential Function Assessment: Coordinate and support assessment of mission essential functions.
- Assessing Threats: Support Weapons and Tactics teams by assessing current and emerging threats; contribute to space protection doctrine, strategies, plans, architectures, and associated requirements; provide vetted analysis and recommendations to improve space protection architectures and capabilities; develop threat mitigation tactics, techniques, and procedures. Train operations personnel on threat mitigation.
- Best Practice Implementation: Monitor and evaluate war games and exercises (as requested), capture and assess lessons learned for best practice implementation to further improve space protection efforts.
- Defining Solutions: Define solutions for broad, abstract topics, succinctly capture risk and issues for the customer and provides analysis and recommendations.
- Streamlining New Capabilities: Review documentation, represent government as required in forums that support streamlined delivery of new capabilities and standardization of integration efforts.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Clearance: TS/SCI clearance with a Polygraph
- Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) or relevant field, and nine (9) years relevant experience; Masters in STEM or relevant field, and seven (7) years relevant experience
- Satellites and Spacecraft: Knowledge of satellite constellations, spacecraft orbit, and ground station characteristics
- Satellite Operations: In-depth knowledge of satellite operations and satellite components (bus and payload) and associated ground systems and related mission protection topics
- Orbital Mechanic: Knowledge of orbital mechanics; analyzes and readily articulates pros/cons of orbital changes
- Collaboration and Communication: Polished communicator (written/verbal) with impeccable interpersonal skills and personal judgment; master at collaboration and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
- Data Management and Visualization: Superior data management/data visualization skills and use of appropriate tools.
- Tools: Experience with Jira, Confluence, Systems Tool Kit (STK).
Desired:
- MBSE and AGILE Development: Familiar with Digital Engineering/MBSE, AGILE development, cloud technologies
- Spacecraft Operator: Real-time operations experience as a spacecraft or ground systems operator
- Project Management: Successful record of project management experience with delivered systems
