Description:As an Assembler, you will be responsible for performing production assembly tasks on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies.
This position is onsite full-time at our Lufkin, TX Operations facility, which has approximately 500 employees, who perform circuit card assembly, wire harness assembly and final assembly, integration and testing for several missile programs.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Assembler, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
• Perform both repetitive and non-repetitive production assembly tasks on electronic and mechanical assemblies and subassemblies (e.g., modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, cables).
• Follow diagrams and drawings to make initial layouts
• Use hand and power tools, jigs, and saws.
• Conduct continuity checks on work in progress and completed assemblies.
• Perform quality inspections on the processing line in line with specified quality standards.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test experimental or prototype assemblies and subassemblies as per specifications and under simulated conditions.
• Demonstrate proficiency and meet quality work standards for various operational tasks.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in electrical assembly and soldering
• Must be a U.S. citizen due to facility access requirements
Desired Skills:
• Completed and certified in classroom electrical assembly and solder training
• Trained to IPC and J-STD-001 standards
• 3 months of assembly experience
• Prior experience in a Lockheed Martin Performance Management Team (PMT)
• Capable of performing routine, repetitive, and basic tasks following well-established methods and processes
• Make simple decisions independently, referring complex decisions to more experienced personnel

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
