The Talent Acquisition Director is a leadership role responsible for professional, executive, and early careers recruitment across the organization.
Responsibilities include all lines of business and CNA locations.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:
Partners with Talent Acquisition Consultant, HR, and business unit management to design strategic staffing solutions and provide best in class TA services.
Develops and maintains staffing plans and recruiting metrics for management review.
Serves as point of escalation for recruiting issues and works with key stakeholders to develop and implement creative solutions to staffing issues.
Responsible for the creation and execution of recruiting strategies for early career (trainee/intern) opportunities at CNA. Leads the recruiting team (hiring leader and HR partner) during each search and ensures that all parties are performing their role in order to meet recruiting goals. Sets campus strategy, schedules key events, identifies and screens talent, and partners with HR and compensation to design and negotiate offers.
Leads the development of recruiting policies and procedures and ensures policies are in compliance with CNA's goals as well as external regulations.
Stays up-to-date on trends and developments within the recruiting function, as well as the insurance industry.
Responsible for the performance and development of the Professional Staffing Talent Acquisition Team. Ensures flawless delivery of TA Strategy through a focus on Operational Excellence, Modernization of the Function, and Diversity & Inclusion
May perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Ability to effectively lead, coach and develop staff, including a thorough knowledge of performance management theory, policies and systems.
Thorough knowledge of corporate/departmental practices and procedures, solid understanding of business and recruiting process workflows, and technical expertise in functional area.
Ability to effectively manage and achieve business results and meet short and long range recruiting goals independently and with others.
Ability to ensure customer satisfaction/service delivery to all of CNA.
Excellent project management, organizational, planning and problem solving skills.
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written including the ability to communicate business knowledge and technical information clearly.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business and recruiting related software systems.
Must be results oriented.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent.
Minimum of eight years of recruiting experience, including solid knowledge of recruiting process.
Typically a minimum of two years management experience.
