POSITION SUMMARY:
As a Inclusion and Culture Intern, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our organization by researching and analyzing emerging trends, contributing to cultural initiatives, and supporting projects that drive innovation. You will work closely with our Inclusion and Culture team to identify opportunities for growth and development, with a particular focus on Culture Transformation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Specific responsibilities may include:
- Research and Analysis:
- Conduct research on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in culture and future work, with a focus on the Culture Transformation.
- Analyze data to identify patterns, insights, and areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations.
- Cultural Initiatives:
- Assist in the development and implementation of cultural initiatives within the scope of Culture Transformation.
- Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive work environment within project groups.
- Future Work Projects:
- Participate in projects related to future work trends within the context of Culture Transformation.
- Explore potential applications of new technologies to enhance effectiveness.
- Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams involved in the Culture Transformation to identify and address cultural challenges and opportunities.
- Work closely with mentors and colleagues to gain valuable experience and knowledge.
In addition to your valuable on the job learning, interns participate in robust programming including professional development activities, cross-functional projects, senior leader exposure, networking events, and visits to a variety of Amtrak sites. These events will help you gain exposure to the many exciting opportunities that lay ahead of you as you build your career at Amtrak.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Must be actively pursuing a degree at an accredited educational institution.

Must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.

Must have at least 1 year of academic undergraduate studies completed or a sophomore status at minimum.

Must have a cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher

Strong research and analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Passion for culture, innovation, future of work.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau). Familiarity with assessment and survey methodologies

Previous internship experience in a corporate setting, preferably related to culture or organizational development

Strong collaboration and communication skills

Demonstrated leadership experience within campus and/or the community Proficiency in creating presentations

A desire to build a career in human resources in a fast-paced service-related environment

Ability to execute with minimal direction and prepared to navigate change with patience and optimism Intellectually curious; always willing to probe deeper to understand organizational behavior and performance
The hourly range is $17.50 per hour - $35.50 per hour. Pay is based on factors including school year, program of study, etc. In addition paid internships include Amtrak rail pass privileges as a part of the experience along with one (1) PTO day per academic year.
Summer 2025 internship program will run from May 19th - August 8, 2025.
