As a Plant Sanitation Supervisor supporting our 2nd shift operations, you will maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment in our Omaha, NE plant, where the definition of “teamwork” holds true! In this Full Time Onsite role, you’ll use your humility and hunger to learn to successfully oversee the day-to-day sanitation activities at the plant. HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Supporting the Sanitation and Food Safety Programs – You’ll lead all sanitation activities on your assigned shift, executing programs such as our Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), daily housekeeping, pest control programs. Support of food safety programs through adverse event cleaning, 28-day cleanup support and targeted cleaning events.
- Facilitating Continuous Improvement – With a focus in continuous improvement, you will be responsible for the compliance, and certification of the Sanitation programs for the facility on your shift. You will be delivering the required standards of sanitation according to both WK Kellogg Co and Regulatory policies, procedures, and practices.
- Directing and Leading – Demonstrate your people skills by providing direction, training and support to your team of sanitation employees. Ensure effectiveness of cleaning and that tasks are completed adequately and on time. Your consistency, transparency, and clear communication will encourage your colleagues to go above and beyond.
- Detail Oriented – Conducting daily inspections of tasks assigned to the union employees, good manufacturing practices, health checks, safety inspections and food safety audits.
- Prioritizing Safety First – Keep our facility safe to prevent problems and ensure employees feel comfortable at all times. Having a “safety first” attitude is important at WK Kellogg Co since people's safety and food safety are two of our values.
- We know you can juggle… – you’ll be working on multiple projects while managing daily activities, but we know multitasking is a strength of yours. Ensure achievement of shift KPIs and Masterplan elements, Continuous Improvement Projects, Sanitation training for facility personnel. You will troubleshoot persistent sanitation issues to identify deficiencies in sanitation program or facility / equipment design. Recognize and escalate, as needed, those issues identified as risks to, or opportunities to improve plant performance.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS
- High School Diploma, General Education Diploma (GED), or International Equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting required
- Demonstrated knowledge of managing safety, sanitation, food safety and/or quality programs & processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Ability to effectively function in a union environment and promote positive labor relations
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing requests while maintaining a culture of accountability and execution
- Ability to work off-shifts, overtime and weekends as needed
- HACCP and PCQI Certification preferred
- Sanitation experience in a ready-to-eat low moisture food environment preferred
- Sense of humor
