Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer
Role and Responsibilities
This position will be in support of multiple mechanical analysis and engineering projects supporting our customers. Provides engineering support for USAF Aircraft Mechanical Systems. Provides advanced technical knowledge and analysis of applications and operational environment, functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation, and implementation advice on complex problems, which require engineering knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation. Applies engineering principles, methods, and knowledge to specific functional areas for to specific task order requirements. Designs and prepares technical reports, studies, and related documentation, makes charts and graphs to record results, prepares presentations, and briefings as required by the task order. Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Engineering and a minimum of 2 years related experience, with typical experience ranging from 3-7 years.
U. S. Citizenship and must have or be able to obtain Secret Security Clearance
More qualified candidates will possess:
Experience with USAF Fighter/Mobility Aircraft
System Reliability and Integrity experience
Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) training or experience
FMECA and System Safety Hazard Assessments experience
Safety Critical Item identification Experience
Proficient in the use of Air Force or civilian technical manuals, policies, regulations, and AS 9100 standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels within the organization.
A working knowledge of technical report writing/editing and ISO 9001 standards.
Proficient with Microsoft Office software and similar database/analysis/reporting software is highly desired.
