Job Description:
GDIT is looking for qualified candidates to fill an entry level position within its EPA emergency management programs mission support team. Qualified candidates must possess the following skills.
- Required Education: Bachelors
- Exceptional communication skills
- Quality writing and proofreading skills
- Must be comfortable with public speaking
- Good customer relationship skills
- Well organized
- Self-motivated and ability to execute on assignments as part of a larger team
- Quick to learn new systems and platforms
- Ability to multi-task
- Interest in Environmental, Emergency Management, Sustainability, and Public Health mission-critical projects
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and virtual meeting platforms (e.g., WebEx, Zoom, MS Teams).
- Proven ability to analyze data, identify recurring patterns and report discrepancies, and interact with public stakeholders
The successful candidate will participate in support activities for response to, preparation for and prevention of environmental emergencies. Project initiatives include: research and analysis, training and exercise development, policy analysis and guidance development, and program implementation.
Range of responsibilities: Assist with data calls by preparing materials, collecting responses, and updating documentation. Assist with addressing meeting logistics and developing meeting agendas and summaries. Assist with writing and updating program documentation such as environmental/emergency management/public health policies, procedures, and guidance. Assist with processing program applications and other administrative duties. Assist with developing and delivering training courses. Assist with support of Emergency Operation Center activations.
The likely salary range for this position is $55,250 - $74,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
