Reporting to the Sales Director, the candidate will be responsible for developing sales of MAAG equipment in the North-West half of France for all our products. In this context, he/she will be responsible for the entire sales cycle and for monitoring projects. His/her main responsibilities are as follows :
- Maintaining and nurturing the existing customer base through regular and rigorous sales follow-up,
- Seek out business opportunities and pass on all the information needed to prepare bids (specifications, specific data, drawings) to our factories and their technical experts, and negotiate bids skilfully right through to the order,
- Proactively develop a forward-looking approach to win new accounts (manufacturers, users and/or engineering firms),
- Organise visits to the area and make appointments independently,
- Respond to customer requests by providing technical advice specific to their needs,
- With the support of the factories based in Switzerland and Germany, monitor business throughout the sales cycle (costing, invoicing, receipts, order tracking, payment tracking, etc.),
- Helping to ensure that commissioning runs smoothly,
- Manage customer relations throughout the technical phase,
- Reporting regularly to your manager,
- Propose and/or take part in promotional and marketing operations such as trade fairs, mailings, etc.
Dual training: technical (with a specialisation in mechanical engineering and/or hydraulics, and/or control) and commercial is required.
Experience:
Knowledge of the plastics industry (extrusion, granulation, filtration) is required, with at least 5 years' successful experience, within :
- Manufacturers of single or twin screw extruders (Reifenhauser, Kühne, Bandera, Coperion, Berstroff, Davis Standard, Leistritz, Maris, Buss...)
- Manufacturers of peripherals such as dosers (Ktron, plastcontrol, etc.) or dies (Extrusion die, etc.). Candidates who have already marketed plastics materials may also be considered.
- Competitors (Kreyenborg, BKG, Gneuss, Xalloy, Eprotec, etc.)
- Customers (Solvay, Total, Masterbatch, compounds, etc.)
More broadly, we may consider (depending on the candidates' potential to fit into the MAAG structure) profiles of candidates with commercial experience in the sale of equipment to industry outside the plastics industry.
