SUMMARY:
Our Factory Specialist support the production lines, equipment, and facility by providing troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities. The abilities and skills required are broad based to include electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on all production machinery, testers, and facility systems and equipment as needed.
- Utilizes a variety of hand tools, testers, and shop power tools to accomplish the above.
- Works with engineers, technicians, production, and maintenance associates in resolution of equipment issues and repairs.
- Provides written documentation and reports as requested.
- Facilitates, coordinates, and communicates with other supervisors to coordinate repair activities in individual departments with in a customer oriented manner with "customer first" sense of urgency.
- Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Required to train or instruct others on technical issues and operation of equipment as needed.
- Overtime is required to meet production demands and can include Saturdays and Sundays when necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to read and comprehend electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic prints and schematics and perform troubleshooting and repairs of these systems.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), 2 year industrial electronic course from a reputable school or at least 2 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong verbal and written communications skills both with internal team members, customers and vendors.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to convert metric system measurements.

The employee must be able to perform work while from ladders and manlift equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus and capable of vision good enough to read prints, schematics and part numbers.
