WHO WE AREWe are seeking a Sr Computer Operator who will monitor and operates electronic digital computers to process business, scientific, engineering, or other data according to operating instructions.
THE WORKOn a daily basis, the Sr. Computer Operator:
• Monitors and operates electronic digital computers to process various types of data, including business, scientific, and engineering, following specific operating instructions.
• Sets control switches to ensure the correct use of peripheral equipment.
• Adjusts switches to clear systems and operate machinery.
• Selects and loads input and output units with materials like tapes and printout forms.
• Monitors equipment and control panels for operator messages or error indicators,
• Sets up and runs diagnostic tests, and responds appropriately to messages, reporting errors or machine malfunctions as necessary.
• May also handle clerical tasks related to machine operations such as labeling tape containers, maintaining production records, restocking specified items, and distributing output materials.
• Often operates peripheral equipment for operations like tape-to-printer and takes corrective action as directed by a supervisor. The role may involve working with multiple systems.

- Must be able to work day, evening, or midnight shift when necessary.
- Must have secret security clearance.
Desired Skills:- AEGIS Production Test Center knowledge or familiarity. Closed Area Security knowledge.
- Must be a quick learner capable of absorbing technical material and operations information.
- Must be a team player with a positive effect on the work group.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of engineers and technicians. Must be prompt and reliable.
- Excellent communications skills and ability to interact positively with the customer
Typical Minimums :
High School diploma, or equivalent experience/combined education, with additional specialized technical training equivalent to a technical Associate degree and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned technical/para-engineering tasks and 1 Year of experience.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
