About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to support the Home Lending Originations Technology team which is modernizing the technology and business process to provide best in class experience for the customers and team members. As a Senior Software Engineer in this role you will develop technology solutions to simplify, streamline and enhance the mortgage origination process. In this role you will have opportunity to work on an application with complex integration and as well cloud native Microservices based on Event Driven Architecture. You are expected to challenge the status quo and influence technology and business stakeholders with your innovative solutions to solve business/technology problems, reusable framework and industry best practices/patterns that can be used across the Home Lending and beyond.
In this role, you will:- Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
- Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
- Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
- Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
- Develop and share the industry best practices and standards for the business functional development and non-functional requirements
- Create unit test cases and automated functional test cases using Behavior Driven
- Development (BDD) technique following Test Driven Development (TDD) practices
- • Overseeing creation of or updates to testing of the business continuation plan
- Participate in daily scrum activities and ceremonies
- Be a point person for addressing production and non-production issues
- Understand and assure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met
Required Qualifications:- 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 4+ years of Java development experience
- 3+ years of JavaScript Frameworks experience (Angular or React JS)
- 6+ months of Loan Origination System Experience
- 6+ months of Knowledge and understanding of home mortgage origination process: applications, processing, and closing
Desired Qualifications:- 4+ years of Java unit test case development experience
- 1 + Year of Experience with Developing Automated functional testing using the BDD technique
- Spring boot application development experience
- Agile Development methodologies
- Tomcat application server experience
- Oracle database experience
- SQL experience
- Hibernate experience
- MongoDB or related NoSQL database experience
- Kafka or related Data Streaming technology experience
- Cloud certification from any cloud providers
- Cloud native Microservices development
- Experience with Domain Driven Design principles
- Experience with application non-functional requirements including Monitoring (APM tools),Logging (Splunk), and Distributed tracing
- Experience in build and deploy tools such as Jenkins and awareness of CI/CD processes in a large application environment
