What You Will Do
The PFC Performance Instructor (PI) is primarily responsible for directing, training, and qualifying Pro Fulfillment Center associates in the Pro Fulfillment Center (PFC). The Performance Instructor is an experienced associate who assists the Supervisors in coordinating functional duties for the Operations and Market Team associates. The Performance Instructor must be able to train and build a culture of safety among associates to achieve a safe working environment. The Performance Instructor also trains associates within operations on new equipment and new tasks to enable successful cross-functional rotation. The Performance Instructor also supports associates in resolving minor issues with the warehouse management system, while also performing associate level operational tasks (as needed) to achieve performance targets.
Responsibility Statements
•Ensures all associates understand and execute safe practices in accordance with corporate and facility standards
•Monitors staffing needs and (in conjunction with the Operations and Market Team Supervisor) adjusts work to be accomplished according to available resources and skill sets
•Responsible for all aspects of associate training including new hire and cross-functional training to ensure associates understand and can demonstrate a knowledge of basic safety and functional skills for a particular task (e.g., receiving, putaway, picking, loading)
•Trains associates on the use of the Laser Radio Terminal (LRT) and its functions as well as the vehicle mounted terminal (as applicable)
•Trains and certifies associates on the proper use of warehouse management system job tasks to complete inbound and outbound tasks
•Periodically reviews, updates, and facilitates the use of SOPs
•Monitors inventory for accuracy and demonstrates proper use of systems
•Coaches and trains market team customer service associates
•Communicates with customers who have escalated issues to improve customer in home delivery experiences, lead problem solving efforts, and create brand loyalty and lasting customer relationships.
•Observes associate “Demonstration of Skills on equipment; certifies associates on equipment when ready
•Observes underperforming associates and delivers feedback on adherence to best methods and ways that the associate can improve performance of a particular task
•Performs daily tasks of an PFC associate (as training allows) including tasks that support successful receiving (and putting away), picking (order-fill), and shipping product in the PFC
What you Need to Succeed
Minimum Qualifications
•Experience training others
•Experience operating power equipment (e.g., forklift, yard truck)
•Proven record of complying with safety requirements
•Basic math and reading comprehension skills
•Demonstrated track record of consistent and reliable on-the-job contribution
•Ability to work independently with limited supervision or with a team
•Basic computer skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
•Leadership experience with or without direct report responsibility
