Role Definition
- To coordinate Cyber activities across the organization. This role includes responding to quick actions, providing timely updates on cyber vulnerabilities, leading a team of cyber advisors who perform third party risk assessments, & overseeing incident response.
Responsibilities
- Track and coordinate high priority cyber actions that require vulnerability management and remediation. As part of this endeavor, you will coordinate with various developers to determine status and report risks back to senior leadership.
- Provide leadership to Information Security Officers (ISO). Leadership activities include overseeing Third Party Risk Assessments, calculating Annual Loss Events using FAIR Risks methodologies, providing cyber awareness training, performing cyber threat models, and tracking key cyber metrics.
- This position serves as a backup for the cyber incident response role in Cat Financial. You would have the opportunity to respond to cyber incidents and provide guidance to managers and legal counsel on cyber related events.
- This role also assists with resource management activities from the Cat Financial Cyber budget. The role needs someone who can look at yearly and monthly budgets to determine if spending rates follow budget forecasts
Degree Requirement:
- A 4-year college or university degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field of study
- At least 7 of post college experience in an information technology / cyber field
Consideration for Top Candidates:
- Possession of an active Cyber Certification (CISSP, Security+, CEH, OSCP, …)
- Ability to effectively communicate in written and spoken language.
- Knowledge of cyber technologies (Firewalls, Anti-Virus, Data Loss Prevention Tools, …)
- Knowledge of Cyber Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance functions
- Strong ability to connect, influence, and motivate co-workers to achieve objectives.
- Strong passion to continue learning technologies and stay current with various technologies (Amazon Web Services, Zero Trust, DevSecOps, …)
- Previous experience with budget/spend plans
- Experience performing data analysis. Previous experience taking spreadsheet data, creating pivot tables, and producing charts and slide decks inform senior leadership.
