Job Overview
The Territory Manager, Tech Services is responsible for leading, developing, and managing all aspects and employees of a Local Operations Center (LOC); the development of a work team that will perform the highest quality mechanical and installation service possible, while also managing costs; and delivering and maintaining accountability of all assets and parts assigned to the Local Operations Center (LOC). The Territory Manager, Tech Services works with sales and customers to resolve any technical service issues and develops a team that can create a competitive advantage in the marketplace for the Company. This role is 50% field-based and maintains responsibility for the successful execution of Right Execution Daily (RED).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops the manpower, budget, and business plans for the Local Operations Center (LOC) by providing leadership in the ongoing review, stewardship, and re-planning against the business plans
- Identifies, communicates, secures, and directs resources as necessary to maintain and improve deliverables in a rapidly changing environment; and leads problem resolution of day-to-day issues
- Ensures optimal performance by conducting performance evaluations via ride-with audits, constructing development plans, initiating required training, and conducting corrective action as necessary
- Identifies and secures resources to deliver on growing capacity and capability demands; implementing strategies that continuously improve productivity; and designing, implementing, and maintaining a performance-based work culture within the Local Operations Center (LOC)
- Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all components of Equipment Services (EQS) including vending, fountain installation, and reactive service
- Works cross-functionally and utilizes industry best practices
- Manages the ongoing improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) within Equipment Services (EQS)
- Delivers the business plan components within the Local Operations Center (LOC)
- Collaborates cross-functionally on planning, forecasting, and delivery with sales, marketing, human resources, operations, and Coca-Cola North America (CCNA). Learns and shares best practices with the Coca-Cola systems to improve results and efficiencies
- Manages, leads, and motivates a team to deliver results by communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines; engaging and developing teammates through effective performance management, and coaching and training
- Implements continuous improvement methods while maintaining customer focus, and embodying company purpose and values to inspire servant leadership
- Drives safely following all motor vehicle laws without distraction
- Maintain a safe working environment by completing all assigned safety training activities and adhering to all safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to conducting Department of Transportation (DOT) daily pre-trip and daily post-trip inspections of vehicle, if required
- Provides great customer service and communication to Coca-Cola Consolidated (CCC), Coca-Cola North America (CCNA), and Equipment Reutilization Solutions (ERS) internal and external customers with the ability to sell revenue-generating service through the Coca-Cola Consolidated Equipment Reutilization Solutions (CCC ERS) proposition
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- One to three years management experience
- Proficient in oral and written communication, including presentations
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Prior beverage industry, sales, and, or tech service experience a plus
- Ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or up to 3 years of college or technical school or relevant experience
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge acquired through 1 to up to 3 years of work experience
